The annual collection in aid of the Solohead Invalid Fund will take place on Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24.


A get together for the Senior Citizens of Solohead and Oola will be held in the Community Hall, Monard, on Wednesday, April 27. Commencing with Mass, at 2pm.

The winners of the Sologhead heat of the Tipperary County Board Table Quiz held in the Hideout on Friday night last, by just two marks, were Pat and Annette Russell along with John and Willie Dee.

They now go on to the County Final which will be held in the Dome, Thurles, on Thursday, March 28, where the outright winners will receive a trip to New York.

On the playing field Sologhead’s U14 Footballers ran up a big score in Round 4 of the League against Arravale Rovers winning by 8-3 to 3-2, while our Junior Footballers still await a win the County League having proved no match for Fr. Sheehys in Round 2 last Saturday.

Well done to James Dee who was a member of the West Tipp U15 Football panel who ran out comfortable winners over North Tipp in the Semi Final and despite leading by a point at the break, lost out by three points to South Tipp in a cracking Inter Divisional final in Cappawhite last Saturday.
