As part of the litter awareness and waste programme in Cullen school, the students undertook a clean-up of the village recently. The children enjoyed their involvement in the project, but were amazed at the amount of litter discarded throughout the village. A South Tipperary County Council environment officer visited Cullen during the past week to speak about the programme initiative and to question pupils about litter and waste management in the school. The school hopes to receive its first green flag in the coming months.

Bernadette Leahy, Emma Ryan, Conor Buckley and Kieran O’Sullivan represented the school in the recent St. Ailbe’s science quiz. All had an enjoyable night.

The school’s annual open day for enrolments took place last week. Anyone else interested in enrolling can contact the school secretary at 06247558 for further information.

The annual soccer summer camp will take place in Cullen from Monday to Friday, July 1 to 5. Further details will be available in the coming weeks.
