New Inn Boys National School parents council are presenting a comedy show called “Santa Ponsa” in Cahir House Hotel this Saturday evening, March 23.

The show’s cast will include Frank Twomey and Packie O’Callaghan, popular stars of Joe Duffy’s Funny Friday and Bull Island.

This show is being organised by the parents council to raise much needed funds for the day to day running of New Inn school.

LAGGANSTOWN HANDBALL ALLEY

With the long evenings approaching, there will be an open registration day to be held upstairs in the viewing gallery in Lagganstown Handball Alley on Saturday, March 23, from 11am to 12noon and also from 5pm to 6pm.

All are welcome to come along.

Route: Mortlestown Duration: 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Please assemble at car park opposite New Inn Church at 2pm this Sunday, March 24.

Why not come and join us? Nothing too strenuous. This is a great way to get fit. All are welcome to come along on the walk.

NEW INN TENNIS CLUB

The annual general meeting of New Inn Tennis Club will take place tonight, Wednesday, March 20, at 8pm in the NICC.

All are welcome to attend this meeting.

THE STORK HAS ARRIVED

Congratulations to Pakie and Noreen Conway Fitzgerald on the birth of their baby son Richard John, a little brother to Ryan.

We wish them every health and happiness for the future.

SINCERE SYMPATHY

Sincere sympathy is extended to Bill and Anne Hayes, and family, Tooloone, New Inn, on the death of Bill’s mother Bernadette (Bernie), Donaskeigh, Tipperary who died recently.

EASTER CAMP

Rockwell Rovers Juvenile club are running a football and hurling camp for U6s to U14s, at a cost of €20 per child. The camp starts on Tuesday, March 26, from 10am to 1pm and will run for three days - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, March 26 to 28, in the GAA field.

LOTTO DRAW

The lotto draw was held in The Rovers Inn on Tuesday, March 12.

The Lotto numbers were 3 , 8 , 20 and 27.

There was no winner. Four Lucky Dip prizes: John Healy, Tom Shine, Paul O’Connor and Liam and Frank Fahey.

Four Sellers prizes: Michael O’Donnell, Sandra English, Taylor Ryan and Paul Coffey.

This week’s Lotto Jackpot of E5,200 was held in Barron’s Pub on Tuesday, March 19.
