Split the Pot
The first draw for ‘Split the Pot’ was held on Monday, March 18, in St. Theresa’s Hospital, Clogheen. It was very fitting that the first draw should be undertaken by Sr. Áine Power, the driving force behind the redevelopment of the hospital and a name synonymous with the hospital for so many years. Although this was the inaugural draw, the initiative has already been a great success with many outlets selling out their envelope allocations in days. The first winners in the weekly draw were Toots Kenneally from Ballyporeen who received €214, Margaret Corbett from Clogheen who won €107 with P.J. and Margaret English picking up the sellers prize.
Split the Pot is a fundraising initiative organised by Knockmealdown Active in association with the Friends of St. Theresa’s Hospital in Clogheen to raise funds for the upkeep of the facility.
Please do give generously where you find ‘Split the Pot’ containers which are located in a range of retail outlets around Ballyporeen, Clogheen, Goatenbridge, Ardfinnan & Newcastle. It is a very simple process, just pop your €2 in the envelope provided then write your name and phone number on it. The draw takes place weekly.
