Fine Gael held their selection convention for the new Cashel/Tipperary Municipal District last week at the Ballykisteen Hotel, Limerick Junction.
At stake was a place on the ballot paper for next year’s local elections. Cllr. Eoghan Lawrence from Cashel said ‘I am delighted and honoured to be chosen by my party colleagues’ following his success at being nominated.

Cllr. Lawrence spoke at length of how important it is that Cashel and the surrounding area have a strong presence in the next County Council ‘with the imminent loss of our Town Council it is vital that Cashel has a candidate that will fight on its behalf and make sure that it’s people have their say in the new Cashel/ Tipperary area’.
