NEW INN CAMOGIE
Our under 14s played Moyle Rovers away on Thursday last. In very warm conditions the game started promptly at 6.30 but the heat did not deter the girls who quickly found their way to the post dominating the score in the first half by 1-3to Moyle Rovers 0-1. Great play and fresh legs in the second half resulted in New Inn scoring 4 more goals. Scores on the day were Aine Coman, Emma Sinclair, Clodagh O’Gorman and Leah Price. A great victory for the girls. Our thanks to Referee Siobhan Ryan.

CAMOGIE EASTER EGG/HAMPER DRAW
The draw took place on Easter Saturday and was won by Marie Walsh, New inn, 2nd Conor Walsh, New Inn 3rd Tom O Gorman, Knockgraffon, 4th Avelene Dalton 5th Aoife Magnier. The three Hampers raffled in Ollies, Barrons and the Rovers Inn were won by John Devereaux, Catherine Moore and Paul Kirwin. The Camoige Club would like to thank the players, members and publicans who sold tickets to make the draw a success.
ROCKWELL ROVERS GAA
An internal blitz was held on Saturday April 23 in New Inn for the U8’s, U10’s and U12’s. The weather was smashing and a good crowd turned up to support this blitz. Refreshments were dished out by the juvenile committee, easter eggs for everyone. A big thank you to all the parents who supported the blitz and brought up some lovely goodies as well for the children.

Hard luck to our players who lost out to a strong Moyle Rovers side on Easter Monday in Templetuohy in the County semi-final of Peil na nOg. Scorers: Colm Moloney 0-1, Kevin Blair 1-2, Liam Fahey 0-1.

Our U16’s had a gallant defeat to Emly/Treacys last Thursday evening in Emly. Rockwell Rovers fell behind early on with all the damage done in the first half. However they rallied well and outscored their opponents in the second half without ever making up the deficit. Diarmuid Barron was outstanding in goal able helped by Craig O’Connell in the backs. Conor Hickey got through an amount of work. The scorers were Aaron Gallagher 1-1 and Eoghan Ryan 2-4.
