It’s time again for Burncourt Community Council’s Annual Summer Festival. Proceedings have already started with a Table Quiz last Friday night in Butler’s Bar. Congratulations to the winners Kitty Butler, Richard Butler, Noreen Butler and John Kearney who not only received first prize but also were the first recipients of the Denny Lonregan Perpetual Shield. This shield has been put forward by the Community Council in honour of the memory of the late Denny Lonregan who won many a quiz in Burncourt. The runners up were Mike Fox, Maura Fox, Pat Fox and Betty Frazer. The winner of the first prize of a hamper in the raffle was Ann Loughlin.
