Powerstown Lisronagh



Congratulations to Donal and Claire Keane, whose child Darragh Brendan was baptised in Powerstown on Saturday.

Congratulations also to Peter and Yvonne Kerry, whose child Isabelle Grace was also baptised in Powerstown on Saturday last.


A commemorative garden is being erected as a mark of respect to all the priests who served in the parish over the last 250 years. It also remembers all the men and women from the parish who served as priests and religious at home and abroad. A special mass will take place on Sunday, July 31, at 5pm, to which all are invited to remember and thank God for all their contribution to the faith and to the people they served.


Winners of the Progressive 25, at Rathkeevin Hall, on Thursday July 7:

Winners on 11 games: Jim and Mary Garrett. Sharing 2nd and 3rd on 10 games: Joe Aherne and Peg O’Connell; Seamus Maher and Jimmy Murray; Dick Lonergan and Denis O’Donnell.

The parish pilgrimage and holiday will take place this year from September 19 to 26. Three days will be spent in Fatima followed by four days in a four star hotel on the beautiful Lisbon coast.
