Award Winning Trad Duo for Burncourt

A rip-roaring national tour featuring renowned West Kerry singer and musician Seamus Begley and the BBC Radio 2 Folk Musician of the Year 2012, Tim Edey will perform in Burncourt Community Hall on Wednesday April 18. The tour which is targeting local communities in six counties is funded by the Arts Council and organized by Artlands.

The concert will be hosted by South Tipperary Rural Arts Group who is planning a warm welcome for the visitors who will also stay in the area. Tickets are €10 and will be on sale at Maureen Creed’s Shop, Burncourt and from Breeda 087/6967661, Margaret 087/2887615, and Lynn 086/6086638. A night of music to raise the spirits and soothe the soul is guaranteed.

“Ballysheehan”- A History Talk and Slide Show.

A History Talk and Slide Show on Ballysheehan Graveyard will take place in Burncourt Community Hall on Friday, April, 27 at 8.15. These talks have always proved popular and this talk on Ballysheehan will appeal to anyone with an interest in local history or indeed perhaps their ancestral burial place. Admission is €5 and refreshments will be served .The proceeds will be used towards the upgrading of the Defibrillator Unit for the Burncourt area.

Art Classes.
