Several events, organised by the local residents association, were held in Elm Park, Clonmel over the Easter weekend.

A full day’s soccer blitz took place on Good Friday, with 115 players taking part ranging in ages from 8 years to 60 years. Boys, girls, men and women all participated in what was a great day of sport and fun for the community.

This was rounded off by a match between the older boys winning team and a Garda team, which was attended by a huge attendance from the community and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

On Easter Saturday morning an Easter Egg hunt around the estate of Elm Park was attended by 85 children and leaders from the community, who followed a treasure map to find eggs. Again, this was a great community fun day that was again attended and supported by the Mayor Darren Ryan and his wife Yvonne.

The local community extends special thanks to the Mayor, who was there both days supporting his community and then presenting prizes and eggs; and his wife Yvonne who played on one of the ladies soccer teams before also presenting prizes.
