U12E- Well done to the U12E who beat Galtee Rovers last Tuesday, June 19, in New Inn. It was a very tight match with Rockwell winning by just one score. Final score 5 scores to 4. Well done to all the players. Scorers Conor O’Neill (0-2), Kevin Cleary (2-1). Great work by everyone especially Kevin Keating, Tom Downey, Ciara Moloney and Adam Gallagher.
U14B - The U14 had a busy week this week, unfortunately luck was not on their side. Hark luck to the players who were beaten 5-8 to 3-4 against Arravale Rovers last Tuesday, June 19. Then on Thursday night they were beaten by a very strong Lattin-Cullen side.
Rockwell Rovers were beaten by Arravale Rovers in the Tipperary Credit Union intermediate hurling championship in Bansha last Wednesday 20 June. Final score 0-18 to 0-12. Rockwell started off very well and were on top for the opening minutes with Paul Hally and Alan Moloney scoring two points. However they didn’t score again until the twenty-fifth minute. Rockwell came back into the game during the final seven minutes. The arrival of Aidan Barron made a difference as he made darting runs through the Arravale backs. The result was four points to Arravale’s two during this period to leave the half-time score 9 points to 6 in favour of Arravale. Rockwell continued to try hard during the final quarter but they came up against a determined Arravale defence and could manage only four points to bring their total to twelve points.
