Ballyneale FC defeated Kilbehenny by two goals in their first league game of the season played at their home grounds on Sunday last.
The Ballyneale side were in control of the game from the beginning putting together passes in a controlled, patient fashion.
The breakthrough came for the team 15 minutes into the game when Marty O Reilly kicked the ball smartly into the net.
Ballyneale continued to put the Kilbehenny team under pressure and Finbar Hickey scored the second goal by simply rolling the ball into the opposition goal after a keeper error.
The second half was similar to the first with Ballyneale dominating in most areas of the pitch.
The final score was 2-0.
Ballyneale FC’s next game is away to Dualla this Sunday, September 9.
