On Tuesday, November 20, there will be an opportunity to meet representatives from Eirgrid in Burncourt Hall at 7.30pm. Come early and bring your worries and queries. The Eirgrid team will have maps showing the constraints in the area that they already have. These ‘constraints’ are matters which will affect their decision as to where the corridors for the High Voltage cables and 44 metre pylons will eventually go. They will answer any questions. It is important that Eirgrid are made aware of all matters that could affect us by the routing of the power-line through this area. Such matters could include: visual pollution, health fears, damage to tourism, interference with wildlife etc.
