The November meeting will be held in the Community Centre Kilfeacle on Wednesday, November 14, at 8pm. Speaker on the night will be Mairead Ryan, Moorehaven Centre Tipperary. Hostesses will be Babs Quillinan and Mary Quinlan. Prize will be presented by Breda Kirwan. Mass for the deceased members will be held in Golden church on Monday, November 19, at 7.30pm.

CHORAL AND DRAMATIC SOCIETY

Golden Choral and Dramatic Society will present ‘Big Maggie’ by John B Keane on Saturday, December 8, at 8pm in the Community Hall Golden. Tickets €10 on the night, at the Cornerstone or through our Box Office 0879524283.

WILDLIFE AND HABITAT MEETING

Are you interested in local wildlife and nature? Do you know of local names for parts of the River Suir. Come along to Golden Hall on Monday, November 12, 8pm. Labhaoise McKenna, Heritage officer South Tipp Co Co will share the ‘River Suir Community Action Plan’ and give a short presentation on the wildlife and habitats found on a recent river survey.

SENIOR CITIZENS CHRISTMAS PARTY

The Christmas Party will be held on Sunday, November 25, in Golden Community Centre. Mass at 2pm in the Community Centre followed by traditional Christmas dinner and entertainment until 7pm.

KILFEACLE RUGBY

Kilfeacle got off to a fine start winning their four opening games under Capt Shane Luby. Diarmuid Carr, Jack O’Sullivan, Charles Walshe, Stephen Flood and pack leader Ger Luby are all playing well. Michael Fitzgerald and Michael O’Connell are going great guns on the Second Team. Training for adults Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm. Juveniles every Friday 6.15pm to 7.30pm. The Lotto is going well. Tickets from Johnny Luby. The club has contributed over €30,000 to charity in the last five years. Boot camp at the Rugby every Wednesday night at 6.30pm and Saturday mornings.

SENIOR GAA

Congratulations to Shane Stapleton who was a selector of Tipp U17s who won the Darren Darcy Cup, best wishes as he takes on the role of County Minor Football Selector.

JUVENILE GAA

The club will hold a cookery demonstration in the Community Hall Golden on Monday, December 3. Tickets €10. Congrats to players who took part in the County Final Cul Camp skills: U12H Jack Currivan, U12F Alex Ryan, U10H Eoin Marnane U10F Jack Leamy, U8H Jack Lonergan U8F Ben Currivan, U12Camogie Jennifer Fogarty, U12F Stephanie Ryan, U10C Eimear Heffernan, U10F Anna Morrissey, U8C Shauna Casey, U8F Aisling Morrissey. Eimear Heffernan came 2nd in U10 Camogie.
