FRIENDS OF CYSTIC FIBROSIS
Last Friday Seamus Kelly, on behalf of Ballingarry Friends of Cystic Fibrosis, presented a cheque for €9,000 to Michael Hickey of Tipperary C.F., proceeds of a very successful Sponsored Pony/Horse Ride and a Walk held in Kilcooley Estate.
TIDY TOWNS
Bases for picnic tables were put in last week opposite the Old Graveyerd and outside the GAA pitch. Thanks to all who helped. Ballingarry Tidy Towns are looking for volunteers on Saturday, November 17, to help with planting trees and shrubs. Meet at 10am outside Martin Hanarahan’s. Thanks to the students from Transition Year.
OLD SCHOOL BALLINGARRY
If you have any unwanted books could you drop them into the school as we plan on having a free borrow and return system. If you are over 50, living alone or would like to join the others for a meal on Tuesdays at 1pm, please contact Mary or Alice at the School. Meals cost €3. Tipp Mental Health Association
Bonnie Daly Killenaule thanks all who sponsored her for the Thurles 10K walk on behalf of South Tipperary Mental Health Association. Your support was greatly appreciated and the amount collected was 602 euro which had been handed over to the to the Association.
