ST PATRICK’S LADIES GAA
Juvenile Club - Pride of place goes to the girls and teachers in Cloneen National School on their historic Cumman Na MbunScoil u13 girls county final win over Loughmore National School last Friday in Cashel. There were many of our club players in action. Well done to our county u12 development players: Caoimhe Ryan, Sadhbh Morrissey, Eadaoin Wilson, Niamh Keane and Chloe Griffin who participated in the Clare tournament the weekend before last. Ruth MacDonald and Shannon O’Connor were unavailable to attend. All girls performed very well and enjoyed representing their county development teams with games against Kerry, Galway, Limerick and Clare.
Thanks to their parents for their commitment over the last number of weeks.
In the County Development u11s blitz in Kilrush on Saturday, we had five girls playing - Avril White, Leanne Murphy, Aine Ryan, Olivia Noonan and Orlaith O’Hanlon. They will continue to train over the next few weeks in preparation for a host blitz. Three players attend the u13s county development squad: Niamh Ryan, Caoimhe McMenamin and Vivienne Noonan.
Our annual table quiz was held in Anglim’s Bar in Cloneen on Friday last. Thanks to John Fitzgerald, quizmaster for the night. Special thanks to John and Monica Anglim for the use of their premises and all their help. The club would also like to thank all the local businesses and those who sponsored spot prizes and to all who those who supported and attended the table quiz on the night.
