Ballyneale FC’s league match against Two-Mile-Borris ended in a 2-2 draw last Sunday.
The Ballyneale team expected a tough test and got one in this away game.
Their performance early in the game wasn’t good and this gave Borris the impetus to attack. On top of this, Tom Kennedy went off injured after 10 minutes. Borris took the lead 15 minutes into the game but Ballyneale turned their game around for the remainder of the half and equalised on the stroke of half time.
Marty O’Reilly scored by following up on Darren Mc Carthy’s free kick, which hit the bar.
Two-Mile-Borrish controlled the game for much of the second half and scored their second goal 70 minutes into play.
They had their backs to the wall from them on. Ballyneale attacked hard and equalised again at the 85 minutes mark.
Best for Ballyneale were Enda Fogarty and John Noonan.
The team play Tipperary Town next Sunday in Ballydine.
