Rockwell Rovers GAA Club
Juvenile Club Fashion Show
The Juvenile club held a very successful fashion show last Friday night, March 11, in New Inn Community Centre. The hall was packed to capacity with everyone was served wine, cheese and chocolate treats. Everything ran smoothly thanks to the great organisers back stage, especially choreographer, Irene and all the work done during the preceding week in the hall. The stage and runway looked fantastic and was a credit to all concerned. Thanks to Paddy O’Connor, Music & Sound and Stevie Boland on lights. Thanks also to members of New Inn Hall committee for their help. The club would like to thank all the models, ladies and gents and the children of First Holy Communion Class, of both schools in NewInn. We would also like to thank the people who did the clean up the following day. A big thank you to all who sponsored prizes including Tipp Co-Op, and Michael Purcell Shop, New Inn. A special word of thanks to the shops who exhibited their wares (Fashion Express: Cahir, O’Dwyer’s Drapery: Cashel, Golden Threads: Cashel, Irene’s: Clonmel, Vila: Showgrounds, Clonmel, Pamela Scott: Clonmel, Style Profile: Tipperary Town, and Mr Mister: Mitchelstown). Karl McHugh did a fine job of compering the show and played the guitar for soloist Jimmy O’Farrell who sang while our mystery guest had everyone guessing! Thanks very much to Fr. Ml Kennedy P.P. who entered into the spirit of things with a fine performance himself on the catwalk. The people who helped are too numerous to mention but all their efforts, big and small were very much appreciated. A very special thanks to all who supported this fundraiser by buying tickets and attending the show. Well done to all!
