Cahir Tidy Towns Committee will continue with their improvements around Cahir this Wednesday at 7pm.
Volunteers will meet at the Castle Car Park and the beds will be planted.
Thanks to the volunteers in Woodview for the great job they did recently. Woodview had been an area that did not have Tidy Towns representation in the last few years.
Also working on the residential improvements are Hogan Square. This area had been kept tidy by the usual stalwarts but now seems to have many more getting involved.
It is great to hear of these areas keeping in touch and getting involved. They will add to the great work being done by the other established resident committees already working towards the cause.
The Committee is appealing to all community and business groups in the town to have a look outside their own door over the next week and has designated Wednesday, June 1 as the Community Day.
This will be the day when all volunteers should be visible on the ground,
Anyone with painting jobs is urged to have them done by the first week in June as this was when the Tidy Towns judges visited last year and was an area that drew comment.
Sympathy is extended to members Breda Gallagher and Ann Lynn and also to Sinead Gallagher on the recent death of their sister and aunt Mags Tynan, Derryclooney.
