Castleview Tennis Club members are competing in two open week tournaments in Co. Waterford this week.

The Club wishes the best of luck to its members taking part in Tramore Tennis Club’s Senior Open Week, which began on Sunday last and continues until this Sunday, August 7 and to its junior members competing in the annual Junior Open Tournament at St Anne’s Tennis Club, Waterford, which runs until Saturday

The supervision of junior players continues at Castleview from 1.30pm to 5.30pm Monday to Saturday throughout August with events being organised for all age groups.

The Club encourages all juniors to participate, meet new friends, have fun and and enjoy the tennis.

There is a log-in system to be observed so that the supervisor is aware of which junior members are on the premises at all times.

All junior members must hand in their mobile phones to the supervisor while at the Club during supervision hours.

They must wear appropriate sports attire, namely runners, shorts or skirts, tracksuits as they will not be allowed to play unless suitably dressed.

Meanwhile, the Junior American Tournament was won last Wednesday, July 27 by Laura McAuley and Kieran Guiry, who beat Peter Baker and John O’Dwyer. The American Tournament last Saturday was won by Andrew O’Brien and Tim Treacy, who beat Gavin Murray and John O’Dwyer.
