The Ballylooby Vintage Day will be held on Sunday, August 28. We will have the threshing mill, the steam engine, vintage tractors, cars and bikes, dog show butter making, sports bouncing castles and numerous side shows. Fun filled day for all the family to enjoy so take note of the date and come along to support this annual parish event.
BALLYLOOBY CASTLEGRACE JUVENILE GAA
Under 10: Player of the week: John Shine. The under 10 hurling team played a blitz last Saturday in St Mary’s, Clonmel. Although this was the first outing of many of the players they performed very well against very tough opposition including Cashel and O’Loughlin Gaels from Kilkenny. Thanks very much to St Mary’s for inviting us to such a well run competition. Well done to all the players and thanks to all the parents who came along.

Brian Borus Ladies Football Tipperary v Limerick u16 Munster Final
Well done to the County Under 16 team who won the Munster B title last Saturday against Limerick. Congrats to our club representatives who were Jackie O’Gorman, Claire Walsh, Maureen Murphy and Sinead Kennedy. A special word of congratulations to Jackie who was awarded player of the match for her outstanding performance in goals. Best of luck to the girls in the All-Ireland semi-final.
The under 10 team gave a great performance on Sunday against Ballyporeen as part of the festival. The girls showed great skill to win the match comfortably.
Brendan Keating will hold a motor bike run next Sunday in aid of Brian Borus Ladies Football and Camogie clubs. The bikes will be leaving Cahir at 12pm and hope to be back in Ballylooby at 5pm. If you are interested in taking part, please contact Brendan or any of the Brian Boru committee.
IRISH HEART FOUNDATION
Church Gate Collection will be held at Ballylooby and Duhill this week-end, August 6 and 7, in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation.
Gemma O’Gorman will be travelling to Africa with the Niall Mellon Trust Group in November. A Cake Sale is being organised in Duhill Hall on Sunday next, August 7, at 9.30am after mass. Proceeds go towards the Niall Mellon Trust Fund.

Cemetery Masses The annual Cemetery Masses will be held in our parish next week. Duhill Cemetery Mass will be held on Wednesday August 10 at 7.30pm and Ballylooby on Friday, August 13,at 7.30pm.
Many thanks and well done to the people of our parish who contributed so generously to the Special Trocaire Collection for the African Famine Appeal which was taken up at the end of masses in our parish last Sunday.
FR COLM O’BRIEN MEMORIAL CYCLE
The Fr. Colm O’Brien Memorial Cycle will take place on August 6. Stage 1: 64km starting from St. Peter & Paul’s Clonmel at 11am via Carrick, (food & drink stop) then to Waterford arriving at St. Paul’s Waterford approximately 2.30pm and finish in Tramore Stage 2: 12km Starting at St. Paul’s Waterford and continue to Tramore Cycle €10 single or family €20 . DUHILL GALA DAY
It is almost thirty years since Duhill Community Council held a field day. A Gala Day will be held on Sunday 11th September at Castlegrace Cross Roads. Events will begin after mass at 9.30am with a cake sale and photography competition in Duhill Hall (Two pictures per person not later than Friday September 9).Other events include a 10k fun cycle (fancy dress optional), all ages will be welcome. GAA Blitzes, Children’s relay races, Novelty Races over 40’s match, Dog Show, Food and Craft Stalls, Bouncy Castles, Face Painting, and much more side shows and Tug of War. All proceeds in aid of up keep of Duhill Community Hall and the Senior Citizens Party. Next Meeting in Duhill Hall on August 10th at 8pm. Everyone welcome.
