A reminder of the Newcastle Vintage Club Field Day taking place on Sunday next, August 7 and starting at 1pm. This year’s theme is the oil engine. All vehicles are welcome i.e. tractors, cars, trucks, motorbikes oil engines, or any old farm machinery. Other attractions will be tug of war, silage cutting and trashing. There will also be plenty of entertainment for the children and much more. Admission to field is €5 and children are free. All catering rights are now sold.
These walks take place every Sunday until the end of August. The plan is to familiarise people with these paths and trails in this beautiful unspoilt area, of the Knockmealdowns. The meeting point is at the Community Hall, Newcastle at 10.15 a.m. each Sunday with the level of walks, moderate, rainwear, boots and snack and drink is essential. The walks will last 2/3 hours approx. with the average length of the walks 10kms. Rating easy to moderate with some level of fitness necessary. Contact Kevin O’Donnell on 086 3541700 for details.

HOME FROM HOSPITAL
Great to see our sacristan Jo Hyland home again following a very successful hip operation at Waterford Regional Hospital. She is doing very well and is looking forward to be back on duty in the not too distant future. She would like to thank all those who sent her get well cards, mass bouquets, and flowers. They were very much appreciated.
