Our U16 combo team played a challenge against Clonoulty on Monday, July 25, in preparation for the championship with a winning score of 2-11 to 1-11.

We wish both our U16s and U14s success in their bid to retain their west titles.


Thank you to all parents who have recently been offering their time to assist with coaching the U-8s and younger on Saturday mornings also thanks to Jamie O’Toole with his commitment to our under 12s it is most appreciated.

All training for U-12s, 10s, 8s and beginners will be held on Saturday morning from 10.30am until 11.45am. Contact will be made by text of any changes.

U21 Hurling

Our u21 hurlers who are joined with Solohead as a combination played the first round of the u21 west championship on Saturday last against Rockwell Rovers but were unfortunate not to come away with a win. We were defeated on a score line of 2-10 to 0-13. We play Lattin Cullen in Round 2 and all players are encouraged to attend training with Eamonn Sweeney whenever scheduled.

The Shamrocks GAA club wishes invite members from clubs all over the country to participate in the Shamrocks GAA All Ireland Table Quiz which will be held in the Tullamore Court Hotel on Thursday, September 1.

The Shamrocks GAA Table Quiz provides the opportunity for teams from all over the country to come together and compete in a social setting. The Tullamore Court Hotel has been chosen for the quality of the hotel and the ease of access, just off the M6 motorway.The entry fee is €E200 per team (four people) and entry is confined on a first come first served basis. 1st Prize of €E2000 and match tickets to the Guinness All Ireland Hurling Finals and a 1 night stay in the Tullamore Court Hotel. 2nd Prize €E1000. 3rd Prize of €E500.

The winning Team will be presented with All Ireland Table Quiz Trophies to celebrate their achievement.
