East Minor Final: Oola 5-10 Pallasgreen 2-3.
This East final turned out to be a one sided affair with Oola taking control from the start with Darragh O`Donovan scoring 1-2 after eight minutes of play. Kevin Heuston had a point from a free in the 14th minute followed a minute later by a goal from Pat Ryan. Pallasgreen did create some chances but failed to hit the target. Oola led at the break 2-6 to 0-0. Oola started the second half with points from Richie English and Raymond Ryan after a minute of play and when Bobby Ryan was pulled down in the square two minutes later a penalty was converted by Pat Ryan with a cool finish to the net. Bobby Ryan got his name on the score sheet three minutes later with a well taken goal. Pallas never gave up the fight and were rewarded with a goal in the 13th minute but this was quickly cancelled out by Darragh O`Donovan minutes later. Pallas went on to add three further points in the 17th 18th and 20th minutes. With time almost up Pallas were awarded a penalty which they duly scored.
The Cup was presented to the Oola captain Bobby Ryan by the East PRO Orla O`Donovan.
