NEW INN FESTIVAL

Sunday, June 16, New Inn Festival plans to be a fun day for all ages. There is no particular theme for this year’s parade - just “do your own thing”. All clubs from within the parish will be taking part. €20 per club, so get your thinking caps on! Individuals can enter also. Special Guest “Richie Kavanagh”. Registration 6pm in the GAA centre. Adult €8, students/walkers €4, children free.

CAMOIGE

U12 County leagues - We had a great start to our league playing away to Holycross and Gortnahue. Our next two matches were home to Moycarkey and Fethard and we won the group outright. This brought us to the county semi final which was played in the Ragg on Thursday, May 30, against Anacarty, but unfortunately we were up against a strong team and were defeated.

NEW INN TENNIS CLUB

The Ladies and Mixed Doubles Home Leagues are nearing semi-final and final stages.

Outstanding membership should be paid immediately: Family €75, Adult €30, Junior/Student €15. Lotto money should be paid up to date to either Phil Ryan or Siobhan Hennessy.

South Tipp League will commence last week in June. Players in this competition will be notified by their captain of the fixtures as soon as draw is made.

WOODENSTOWN GROTTO

It is proposed to hold a mass at Woodenstown Grotto this Friday, June 14, at 7.30pm (weather permitting) for all households in the area.

SCHOOL REUNION

Calling on all past pupils of the Convent in New Inn. Come back for a day of laughter and memories on Saturday, June 22. Mass at 2pm in New Inn Parish Church and then down to the New Inn Community Centre for a chat and a meal. Tickets €20 on sale now in Purcell’s Shop or The Rovers Inn, New Inn or contact 087 1823110.

THE STORK HAS ARRIVED

Congratulations to Shane and Aoife Kiely, Dublin, on the birth of their baby daughter Siun, sister to Saoirse. Aoife is a daughter of Paddy and Bernie Farrell, Knockgraffon.

SINCERE SYMPATHY

is extended to Cyril & Siobhan O’Gorman, Knockgraffon on the death of Siobhan’s sister Eileen Gayson, Cashel, who died unexpectedly. Sympathy is also extended to Jimmy Murphy, Lagganstown, on the death of his brother Michael, Tipperary Town who died recently.
