It was with deep regret and sadness that members of the 55 Social Club learned of the recent death of club chairman Jim Bermingham from Kickham Park, Clonmel.

Jim was a founder member of the club and also served as chairperson and joint treasurer. He was the heart of the club and everything he did for the club was done with enthusiasm and pride, and he will be greatly missed by all.

Sincere sympathy is extended to his wife Betty, son Frank, daughter-in-law Louise, granddaughter Lorna and family.

The committee decided that the social night for December would go ahead as planned, as members were sure that is what Jim would have wanted.

The social night will be held on this Thursday, 22nd, at The Coachman in Parnell Street, with music provided by Dick Quinn.
