Carrick to host 5th annual GOAL Mile

Runners and walkers are limbering up to take on the Goal Mile in Carrick-on-Suir once again on Christmas morning before tucking into their turkey and ham.

Runners and walkers are limbering up to take on the Goal Mile in Carrick-on-Suir once again on Christmas morning before tucking into their turkey and ham.

And Santa Claus has accepted an invitation to participate in the fundraiser in aid of the Third World charity that is being organised by Carrick-on-Suir Road Runners.

The one mile race through the streets of the town will start from Ormond Castle at 11am on Sunday, Decembe 25.

Volunteers sporting santa hats and GOAL Mile bibs will be collecting funds around the town on Christmas Eve.

This will be the fifth year the GOAL Mile will be run in Carrick-on-Suir.
