FR SHEEHY’S SCRAP SATURDAYS
Over the next couple of weekends Fr. Sheehys GAA Club will endeavour to collect as much scrap as possible to help fund future projects within the club. The Club would like to encourage you to look through your farm, house and garage for waste metal and sponsor some of the metal to the club. The club will arrange for the items to be collected or you can drop the items to the GAA field.
Collections began on Saturday, February 25. Your help would be appreciated. Please phone or text Mike Leonard 087/2622239 or Kevin Dowling 086/8608000.
Sponsorship Cards for the sponsored walk to be held on this Sunday, March 4, have been distributed and your support would be much appreciated. The walk is in aid of fundraising for the replacement of the floor in the community hall. Though the work is grant aided, a considerable sum has to be raised by the Community Council .If you cannot take a card yourself please contribute to some walker as your support is very important for this vital project. The walk is a five mile walk and will start off from Burncourt Community Hall at 2.30pm. Please return all cards and money raised on Sunday.
