THE MASTER RETIRES AFTER 37 YEARS
On Saturday night last, a large crowd attended a farewell tribute to Donal McCarthy, principal of our National School in Ballylooby for the past 37 years. We wish both Donal his wife Lucy and the family all the best in the future and thank him for his 37 years teaching in the school from the board of management, staff, pupils and all the parishioners.

BALLYLOOBY/LADIES CLUB Ballylooby Ladies Club are holding their A.G.M. on Wednesday, March 7, at 8pm.in Ballylooby Community Hall. Our u12’s too part in a short Go Game in the Ragg last Saturday, February 25. They played Borrisoleigh at the half time of the minor camogie match between Tipperary and Dublin. The girls played very well and the future looks promising for them all. Indoor training has started in Clogheen on Thursday Evenings in the GAA club house. U8s 6pm to 6.45pm; U10/12 6.45pm to 7.30pm; U15 7.30pm to 8.15pm.

SCRAP METAL COLLECTION
The GAA club is trying to raise some funds through the method of collecting scrap metal from the parish. So if you have anything that you think would help the cause please contact Derek Coffey on 0868536681. We are looking for any old unwanted items that may be around the house, farmyard or even stuck in the ditch that you would like removed. We will do all the hard work all you have to do is call Derek and the Club will arrange the collection.
GAA CLUB MEMBERSHIP Club membership is now due and can be paid to club PRO Alan Kennedy. We have reduced our membership rates for the coming year in order to try to increase the number of members within the club. Fees: Adult player €E40 Player, 21 to 16 €E10, Adult non player €E10, Family €E30. All of these rates will increase after March 17 so we encourage everyone to get their membership paid before this date. In order to give everyone a chance to pay their membership before March 17 we have decided to take memberships after all three parish masses on the weekend of March 3rd and 4th in the local halls.
