Eleven-year-old Loren Burke from Thomastown N.S. is cutting off her beautiful long hair to raise money for the Rapunzel Foundation and Diabetes Ireland.

The Rapunzel foundation makes wigs for children who have lost their hair through illnesses. Loren has been growing her hair for nearly 2 years and most of her friends don’t want her to cut it off. “Of course I will miss it but I think of the kids who have lost all their hair and knowing that mine might make some of them feel better makes it easier for me”.

Loren has sponsorship cards in Hair FX , Tipperary Town and Clonmel and you can also donate by logging on to www.mycharity.ie/event/loren_burkes_event. She will be cutting off her hair on September 12, after school. Contact: HairFX 062 52070 for further enquiries.
