Boxing Club

Four St. Nicholas BC members competed in the Wexford League at the Sacre Coure Boxing Club in Enniscorthy.

Danny O’Callaghan boxed in the Boy 1 42 kg category in his first ever contest. His lack of experience showed against a far more experienced boy from the local club.

Dane Finn fought in the Boy 2 27kg category and had to use all his experience to beat L. Walsh from Ballagh BC. Stefan Lazic worked hard over his three rounds to earn a split decision over L. Byrne from the Gorey club. And Lee Keane had his best ever performance in the 50 kg Boy 2 category and used all his skills to overcome J. Richards from St. Michael’s BC, New Ross.

This was a great start to the season for St. Nicholas Club, which looks forward to the next round of the Wexford League. The Club thanks its coaches for their tireless work in getting boxers so fit early in the season.
