Killenaule Moyglass Ladies Soccer

Killenaule Moyglass won the Tipperary Shield Final in Newhill on Sunday with a great victory over Nenagh. The girls continue their winning ways with Shauna Hayes getting them off to a great start touching home a Hannah Trehy free, but Nenagh put on all the pressure for the first half and had the equalizer after 30 minutes. Hannah Stapleton brought off a few good saves to keep the score at 1-1 at half time. The second half was totally controlled by Killenaule with the back three totally controlling the game led by the player of the match Aisling O’Connor. And when midfield started winning the battle

it was only time before they got the goals and floodgates opened up with a goal for Edel O’Dwyer, two for Katie O’Regan, one for Shauna Hayes and finally a great individual goal from Hannah Trehy.

Scoil Ruain Killenaule Ladies Football

The girls won their first championship game against Cappawhite in Cappawhite. They started slowly and were down a point at half time thanks to great goalkeeping skills from Shauna Hayes who had an excellent game standing in for Sharon Hanley who broke her leg in a soccer match earlier in the week. The girls improved performance for the second half and took over winning 4-7 to 1-7.
