Tommy Tiernan in The Strand
Comedian Tommy Tiernan will perform at Carrick-on-Suir’s Strand Theatre on Saturday, November 30 at 8pm.

Carrick-on-Suir Carers Group’s next meeting takes place at the Nano Nagle Community Resource Centre on Tuesday, November 12.
At the Group’s October meeting, members did some Tai Chi exercises and listened to a talk from a HSE social worker.
Two members, Alice Dunne and Margaret McGowan, were selected to enjoy a respite break in a Sligo Castle Hotel.
The Camphill Community at Ballinagrana, Carrick-on-Suir celebrated the harvest season with a meal made from fruits and vegetables from their farm and garden.
This harvest of food was lovingly grown, tended and picked by Camphill Community members over the summer months.
The dining room was decorated with dragons, flowers and other beautiful things of nature abundant at this time of the year as well as candles. The evening of merriment, singing and dancing was enjoyed by all.
A raffle for a Christmas hamper in aid of Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children in Crumlin took place at a recent fundraising coffee morning in the Carraig Hotel.
Prize winners were: 1st Nicola Phelan, 2nd Derek Bolger, 3rd Karen Walsh, 4th Declan and Mary Fitzgerald, 5th Ian Maher.
