Two pupils from Alison Cronin’s Dance Centre in Clonmel participated in the Junior Ballet Awards at the Radlett Centre in Radlett, Hertfordshire last weekend.

Amy Hickey from Old Spa Road and Lauren Kidd from Moangarriff, who are both 8, were the only ballet dancers from Ireland to secure an invitation to the prestigious competition after they received very high marks in their ballet exams.

While in Radlett they joined other top performers in the Grade One section and at a class conducted by renowned teachers at the Radlett Centre.

The girls danced so well they were chosen to take a place in the final 20, which was a major achievement.

Amy, daughter of Sinead and Liam Hickey and Lauren, daughter of Dorothy and John Kidd took their exams at the Dance Centre at the Old Bridge.
