The Club thanks the ladies committee for catering for all the players and supporters and also those who helped prepare the field.

Thanks also to the Boland family for attending and presenting the players with their medals and thanks to the visiting clubs for their participation.

The U-10 hurlers were also in action in a hurling blitz in Tramore on Saturday where the two teams competing had a successful morning winning five out of six games played. Thanks to the host club for their hospitality.

Carrick Swan will host an U-12 hurling tournament over the coming weeks while the U-13 hurling tournament is due to commence next Saturday. All panel members will receive match details during the week.

Numbers drawn in last week’s juvenile lotto were 8, 11, 22 and 27. The jackpot prize of €4,500 wasn’t won and seven players matched three numbers to win €30 each.

Carrick Swan Club thanks all those who continue to play the lotto and reminds those who might like to join that weekly entry is €2 and this can be paid to any committee member, or to any lotto promoters, who collect each week.

This week’s jackpot prize is €4,750. The proceeds of the lotto draw go towards facilities for the Club’s juvenile players and is very much appreciated by all in in the Swan Club.

The Club extends its sympathy to the family of the late Tommy Morrissey, Collins Park who died suddenly last week. Tommy was active in the Swan Club in his early years as player, juvenile selector, committee member and caretaker and maintained a keen interest in the Club’s fortunes at all times. Sincere sympathy is extended to Tommy’s wife Maureen, his sons, daughters, grandchildren and family.
