Renovations

We are most grateful for the generosity of so many parishioners who have donated €137,39O towards the renovation of our church. The total cost of the renovations is €875,000. The loan is €500,000 and the balance to pay is €362,610. Last Week donations of £400, £200, £40, £25 and €10 were received.

Autumn collection

The Autumn Collection for the Priests of the Parish will be taken up this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 29th and 30th September. For those involved in the distribution of envelopes please note they are now available in the Parish Book Shop.

Anam Cara

Anam Cara is a national voluntary organisation that provides bereavement support to parents after the death of their son or daughter. All online and face-to-face services are offered free of charge for as long as parents may need them. To raise funds to deliver these services, Anam Cara is organising a national bag pack on Saturday, 3rd November. Would you consider helping us out? Charity bag pack

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is holding a fund-raising bag pack at Dunnes Stores, Clonmel on Friday, 5th and Saturday, 6th October. The Society is looking for volunteers who could give an hour or two on either day to help. Please ring O52-6123878 with your name and contact number and when you’re available. A rota will be completed and each person will be contacted with the details.

Area Parishes social evening

The Clonmel area parishes will hold a social evening with dinner, cabaret and dancing at Hotel Minella at 7.30pm on Friday, 26th October. The cabaret will feature Derek Ryan (baritone) and Deirdre Ryan (soprano) with accompanist Mary Rose McNal1y. Tickets at €25 are available from Ss Peter and Paul’s Book Shop, the Church of the Resurrection, the Friary Office and Marian’s Bookshop.

Apostolic Society

The Clonmel Apostolic Society are holding their annual display in Clonmel Library until this Saturday, 29th September.

Place4U Community Centre

The centre is open at Morton Street, Clonmel from Monday to Friday, 10am to 12.30pm. Tea, coffee, scones and snacks are available daily. For details of activities enquire at the Centre.
