Rehearsals are in full swing for Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society’s pantomime “The Adventures of Old King Cole”.
The theatre is alive with choral, dance and production rehearsals the sound of hammering and sawing accompanied by the smell of fresh paint as the set crew construct the set for the Society’s 99th production.
The Musical Society is very fortunate to have a very young cast on stage in the panto who are full of enthusiasm.
Tickets for the show go on sale at The Strand Theatre on October 1. They cost E12 and E15.

Meanwhile, an information and launch night for the Society’s 100th show “West Side Story” will take place in The Strand Theatre on Friday, October 5 at 8pm.
The Society is aiming to make this show very special.
Anyone interested in getting involved on stage or behind the scenes are invited to attend the launch.
The Society also extends an invitation to all past members to make a comeback for this special year.
The directors of The Strand Theatre and committee and members of the Musical Society thank the Lions Club for their generous donation to The Strand Theatre Building Fund.
The Society are very lucky to have such generous patrons in a time when money is so scarce.
As a very small gesture of thank you, Musical Society members will perform at the launch of the Lions Club “Message in a Bottle” national initiative at Ormond Castle on Friday, September 28.
Carrick-on-Suir Brass Band will attend. Admission is free.
