To enable the society to continue its excellent work, the annual Christmas collection will be taken up before Masses this weekend, December 8 in Newcastle and December 9 in Fourmilewater. Your support is necessary so it is hoped that this collection will be generously supported.
Eucharist ministers for this weekend - Friday at 6.30pm Anne Corbett and Nellie Nugent. Saturday at 6.30pm: Sean Fitzpatrick and Angela Walsh. Reader of the Word for Friday is Kathleen O’Keeffe and Saturday is Joan O’Dwyer.
CLOTHING AND MOBILE COLLECTION
Naionra are having a used clothing and mobile phone collection, so please bring your items in bags to the Naionra on Monday next, December 10. Clothing, shoes, belts, ties, handbags, linens, stuffed toys etc. are all acceptable as long as they are clean, condition does not matter. Phones that have aerials are not acceptable.
Well done to our U10 footballers who were in Clogheen on Monday night last for a mini blitz, playing three games drawing on two and winning one. The team were: C O’Loughlin, J Fitz-Rice, A Ryan, Y Clancy, A O’Neill, J McClean, M Zimmerman and C Butler.
Child Protection - there will be a child protection and welfare workshop in sport in the GAA complex on Wednesday night, December 5, 7.30pm to 9.30pm, €10 per person. Anyone coaching or helping out with children under 18 years in football, hurling, ladies football, camogie, handball or rounders should attend.

NEWCASTLE HOMECOMING FESTIVAL
The festival will take place from June 21 to 27. The aim of the gathering 2013 is to bring people home, we ask that anyone who has family members or relatives living abroad that you would contact our pro Donal O’Loughlin on 0879870467 or firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Marion at 0871254882. Supply name, full address and email address of any family member or relative living abroad. The homecoming committee intend to issue an invitation to all emigrants to come back to Newcastle for a celebration of all it has to offer. Names by Friday, January 5.
