ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY
A great time was had by all with the best of festive food, plenty to drink and superb music. Thank you to all who helped to make the party a success. Thanks to all who prepared the meal, those who did the shopping, the creative crew who transformed the hall into a Christmas Wonderland, to all the helpers, to Bobby and Ann Gardiner and Maurice Crotty for keeping us all entertained and dancing with music and song and our appreciation to all who came along with a gift on the day. The Annual Christmas Concert will take place on Friday, December 21, in Burncourt Community Hall. The local actors are busy rehearsing for the performance of their one act play “Barney’s Bull” which promises to keep us well entertained. Also on stage on the night will be the local schoolchildren, dancers and there will also be a sketch from two promising young actresses.
“Lonely Little God’s Acre” – a history of Shanrahan Churchyard by Ed O’Riordan will be launched at the Hermitage Restaurant in Clogheen on Friday, December 14, 8pm. Breda and Declan will be providing a seasonal cheese and wine reception. All welcome. Contact Ed for details 0863840894.
SOUTH TIPP WELCOMES THE DEISE
Mulcahy’s Bar is the place to be next Saturday, December 8, when a busload from the Deise will arrive, including Dan Shanahan and brother Maurice. Music with Stefan Grace and food served.
