GALTEE ROVERS – ST. PECAUN’S
On Saturday week the January and February club draws will be held in the McGrath Centre. The club draw is a vital part of our annual fundraising and we have a prize fund of over €1,300 every month. We are very grateful to all our loyal supporters over the years and we would encourage anybody with an interest in Gaelic games in the parish to consider joining the club draw. Remember. It’s only €7 a month to join and the top prize each month is €600.
Our under 21 footballers opened their 2013 campaign with a hard-earned win over Knockavilla Kickhams, 2-5 to 1-6, in a cold and breezy Cashel on Sunday morning. Trailing by five points at one stage in the second half we eventually got our act together and a goal from Eoin White levelled matters before we hit the front through Niall Daly and David Finnane. In truth we could have been well clear but poor shooting and decision making cost us several points and we should improve considerably for our other games against Éire Óg, Emly/Treacy’s and Rockwell Rosegreen
