The Intermediate hurling team were away to Drom/Inch on Sunday and were beaten by a stronger more physical Drom team, however this was very good preparation for next Sunday’s first championship game when the opposition will be Ballybacon/Grange, this game is in Cashel at 3pm. Support would be much appreciated.
The minor footballers had a good win over EmlyTreacy’s on Sunday morning in Emly. They play Bansha/Eire Og on Wednesday night next in Lattin at 7pm.
Thank you to everyone who turned out to the club’s coffee morning/cake sale in aid of The Parkinson’s Association of Ireland. Special thanks to all who baked the beautiful cakes, buns, and those who provided the spot prizes. Any fund raising event is only a success when it is supported and it was absolutely heart warming to see the amount of people who came to the hall. The amount collected on the day will be published in next week’s paper as there are some more donations to come.
You could hear a pin drop while guest speaker Eddie Butler, Treasurer of the Munster Branch, gave a very moving talk on what it is like to suffer from Parkinson’s and also by the great work been done by The Parkinson’s Association and all their volunteers and how important it is to them that people run fund raising events as they receive no government funding. Eddie was accompanied by Mags Richardson Ryan from Tipperary and Doon who is a nurse with the Munster Branch Of The Association.
Information Evening. Last Friday evening, after Juvenile Training, Sinead Delaney gave a very informative talk on healthy eating and well being of our younger players with coaches, parents and children paying great attention on the evening. Thanks so much to Sinead. I think we all learned a lot.
