ST. ISIDORE’S NS DIGITAL RECOLLECTIONS

The 3rd and 4th class children of St. Isidore’s N.S. are embarking on a project to interview and video older members of the community about their memories of folklore and customs of the past. The initiative, funded by Muintir na Tire, is called Digital Recollections. The children are seeking volunteers over 75 and who attended school in either Boherlahan or Ardmayle. If interested call in to the school or ring 0878553484 at any time. The interviews will ask questions regarding games of long ago, food, fairs, songs, your townsland, immigration in your area, ruins and castles and what changes you have seen in your time. You will not be asked about your personal life. It is hoped to launch a website archiving this valuable information for future historians.
