Cahir’s U8 Camogie team took part in the first blitz of the season in the County Camogie grounds at the Ragg on Saturday last.

This was a first game for many of our young players and indeed they did the club, themselves and their parents proud. They played three games in all and came out on top in each one of them. They showed great skill and confidence on the field and enjoyed their morning immensely. Well done to Joanne Reidy who managed the team on the day and to all the parents who travelled with them.

Team: Amy Halpin, Emily Kirby, Emily Coffey, Ava Conway, Holly Keating, Isi Chamberlain, Robin Halpin and Leah Flannery.

The U14 camogie team had their first game against Cashel last Tuesday. Although they were beaten by a very strong Cashel team the girls gave a spirited performance in the second half.

Team: Dervla Buckley, Niamh Costello, Roisin McCarthy, Lauren Noonan, Orla Cashman, Sarah Burke, Emily O’Donovan, Shauna O’Donovan, Maeve Heffernan, Emma Walsh, Margaret Reidy and Aoife Cashman.

Training for U14s continues every Wednesday in Duneske from 7pm to 8pm and Saturday mornings at 10.30am. All players are requested to attend as we will be preparing for the league soon. New players always welcome.
