At this stage all the flower beds have been cleared and replanted and the hanging baskets are hanging around looking very pretty.

We feel that Cashel looks even better this year. Our volunteers (assisted by many parishioners with family interred there) have been busy maintaining the cemetery at St John The Baptist church in Friar St. When you compare this peaceful place now with what it looked like a few years ago, you’d be amazed at the improvement.

We would like to thank the Town Council and officials for the upgrade carried out on the Clonmel entrance road to Cashel. New kerbing, street lights and grass margins really smartened this important entry, not just from Clonmel/Fethard, but also from the M8 motorway.

We were delighted to receive an offer of assistance in clearing the field opposite the new filling restaurant from the manager of McDonalds and the staff members turned out to assist the cleanup. This is another welcome example of civic pride by a commercial interest in the Cashel locality.

We lost our FAS and TUS workers at the end of last year. We’re delighted to say we now have three men from these schemes working in the town assisting our efforts. This really makes a difference and we greatly appreciate the work these men are doing.

We thank the many traders and commercial interests around the town for their donations to our Business Support Appeal.
