Tipp hurling star visits Carrick Swan club camp

More than 120 children enjoyed an action packed fun camp hosted by Swan GAA Club at their club grounds last Friday evening and Saturday morning.

More than 120 children enjoyed an action packed fun camp hosted by Swan GAA Club at their club grounds last Friday evening and Saturday morning.

Highlight of the event was the visit of Tipperary hurling star forward Noel McGrath.

The Swan Club thanks all the organisers and helpers, who helped make the camp a great success as well as Noel McGrath and all the parents who brought their children to the event.

In other Swan news, the Senior hurlers defeated Killkenny’s Tullaroan in Davin Park in the Hawkie Nugent Memorial Cup. The U-16s reached the Carlow Town Hurling Club All-Ireland U-16 Tournament final and were beaten by Belfast’s St John’s in virtually the last puck of the ball. The U-16s take on Killenaule in their first championship game next Tuesday at 7pm while the U-14s travel to Ballingarry for their first championship match tomorrow (Thursday). The U-12 Camogie team beat Arravale Rovers in the county semi-final last Wednesday.
