The students of Carrick-on-Suir Gaelscoil have brought out a CD of singing and poetry in memory of one of the teachers, who passed away two years ago.
The CD called “An Bláth ba Dheis sa Ghairdin” was officially launched in the remembrance garden called “Gairdín Eilíse” dedicated to the late Eilís Ní Aodha that was opened last year to mark the first anniversary of her death.
The event was attended by teachers, pupils and families and featured music performed by some of the students.
The CD was recorded in St Molleran’s Church with the help and support of Fr Tom Flynn, PP.
Teacher Siobhan Ní Chonaill wrote the songs and the artwork for the CD cover was created by students Doireann Ní Fhaoláin and Millie Ní Fhinn while parent Catherine Walsh of Carrick-on-Suir Camera Club did the photography.
