The sad sight of all our feathered friends sitting on the wires and chatting before flying south to seek the sun has started.
The lines of birds on the wires signal the end of the summer and the sharpness in the air indicates their time with us is short. Autumn in Marlfield starts with the kaleidoscope of colours in the deciduous trees along Marlfield Lake and the Church Avenue. This is a good time for that special photo and maybe to win a prize for capturing the change of season.
The judging of the garden competition in Marlfield has taken place. The results will be announced at the annual fund raising dance in the Clonmel Park Hotel on Friday night, September 20.
