Ballybacon/Grange GAA
Minor Hurling: After wins against Carrick Davins, Skeheenarinky and Clonmel Óg/Clerihan we are in the South Minor semi final awaiting the results of some remaining games.
Intermediate: We defeated Kilsheelan/Kilcash in the South semi final last Sunday, September 8. We are now through to meet Fr. Sheehy’s in the South Intermediate hurling final fixed for Cahir this Friday, September 13, 6pm. (Please check fixtures page for confirmation). We were level with Kilsheelan at half time on score of 1.7 to 10 points and in a hectic second half there was never more than 3 points between both teams. We went on to win in the finish by 2 points on a final score of 1- 14 to 15 points. The first round in the County Preliminary Intermediate Hurling Championship is also due to be played this Sunday.

Confirmation 2014 will take place on May 15, in Ardfinnan Church with Holy Communion taking place on May 24 in Ardfinnan. New Altar Servers will be trained in the near future to serve in the parish. Application forms and forms of consent will be given out during this week in school.

The Saint Vincent de Paul Society will hold their collection at all Masses on the weekend of September 21/22.Computer Classes

It is proposed that basic computer classes for beginners will start on Friday, September 20, from 10am to 12 noon in the I.T Centre in the Community House in Newcastle. The course will run for six weeks with a completion date proposed for Friday, October 25. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance on completion. Congratulations to Brian and Jennifer Condon, Knockballiniry, on the birth of their baby boy Cian recently and to Elaine Mason and Liam McCarthy, Crough, on the birth of their new baby boy and brother for Emma, Caylum. We wish both families every good wish and happiness for the future.
