Daffodil Day got off to a good start with a beautiful sunny day. In spite of the prolonged frost in early spring, the daffodils were never as plentiful and are still in full bloom. Unfortunately, there was a falling off in the interest this year and the same “push” wasn’t evident. Hopefully the lull will only be temporary and the custom will regenerate itself in it’s own time.

With the beautiful weather, we are experiencing new people are being very busy with farmwork, gardening and of course tidying up and making their premises look good for the summer. Not out of order to remind people to take care when working machinery, lawnmowers, climbing ladders, trimming hedges and doing a general rush about to get so much done in a short time. Keep safe, take your time and keep well to enjoy the summer. Have a good time.
