Well done to our players who had a great win over Cashel KC in the preliminary round of the U14 peil last Wednesday, March 30, in New Inn. The final score was 5-6 to 2-4. Scorers: Kevin Blair 2-0, Liam Fahey 2-2, Owen Cleary 1-1, Paul Coffey 0-1, Conor Hickey 0-2. our U14’s had a busy week, their second game being against a strong Clonouty team in the quarter final last Saturday, April 2. It was a very good performance from all the players, with Liam Fahey scoring two fine goals, one direct from a free. The wind was a major factor in the game being a strong blustery cross field breeze causing both sides to shoot a lot of wides. Owen Cleary played a blinder, scoring a point and executing a lot of blocks along with Darragh Campbell to keep Clonoulty at bay especially in the dying minutes. Our defence generally was very sound. Well done to all the players. Final score 2-1 to 0-4.
played the first round of football league last Thursday, March 31, in Sologhead against Sologhead. Final score 3-1 to 1-0 in favour of Rockwell. Well done to all the players. There was great team work on the night. Scorers: Colm Moloney 2-1, Patrick Hickey 1-0.
